2.7 mm Cortical Screw – Self Tapping (StarDrive)
2.7 mm Cortical Screws are intended to be used for the fixation of bone fractures along with 2.7 mm locking plates. They are fabricated using medical-grade stainless steel and titanium as per ISO standards. Offered by Siora Surgicals Pvt. Ltd., these cortical screws are available in stardrive and hex drive configurations.
These are the types of self-tapping screws that cut their own thread during application into the bone. A small hole is created by the screw when it is being driven into the bone, and it provides protection against vibration loosening. Sizes available in these types of screws are 6-40 mm.
They are designed having a fully threaded shaft and can also be availed in customized configurations on the client’s demand. Cortical screws have a smaller pitch than cancellous screws and that increases the number of threads. They are most commonly used in cortical bones.
